About Veneto

Origins

VENETO BAGS is a family-owned company that began in the heart of a small city in Rome, Italy. Its name originates from a local street in Rome named Via Veneto, and due to its close resemblance to the phrase "va bene" - meaning all good - it seemed like a perfect fit for this Italian franchise.

In fact, the father of the Veneto family, better known as "Mr. Veneto,” is the one who found inspiration from the street name and who founded this handbag line that is popular amongst you all today. His inspiration for the handbags stem from quality textiles and elegant designs popularized in Europe. Materials like pagliavernice stampata, and even the famous Italian leathers were introduced into this brand because of the refinement and ease of life that Italy exudes. In that context, Veneto Bags is one of immaculate European authenticity, in which its designs, materials, and the founder's origins are embedded in the company's handbags.

The company found its way to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, after a decision of expansion on the family's part. This decision meant more than just new grounds, new customers, and new connections, it also signaled a new beginning: The importation of Bags from Italy to Canada was made for the first time by the man who started it all, Mister Veneto.

"Va bene"

Veneto Bags thrives on its values brought forth by its homeland; in which one of its most prized values bears an appreciation for simplicity. "Va bene" - for everything  to be all right - is an expression that conveys that sentiment exactly. We strongly believe that it is vital to find the ease and appreciation of life through class, inspiration, and individuality. With Veneto Bags, one can experience these core values and discover European bliss by taking part in our line.
